I Do Not Recommend!

So, not that anyone has a choice, but I DO NOT recommend a miscarriage! It has been a month since I found out that my baby wasn't growing. We decided to let things happen naturally, in hopes of saving a ton of money. Well I started to think that my body had just absorbed the embryo or something. On Thursday I started bleeding a tiny tiny bit- almost a joke amount. This continued until this morning... now I don't usually get cramps, so I may just be a wimp, BUT I wanted to DIE!! It started at about 8:30 this morning, and gradually got worse. I did end up going to work for 2 hours, which was miserable as my pain got worse! Then at around 2:30 it was so bad I just cried! I have never been in so much pain. I've decided they were contractions- which is making me reconsider having a baby! They were every 4-6 mins for about 10-15 seconds (but felt like a whole minute!!) Anyways, the pain has stopped now, so now I feel like the queen of the world, I can do anything (except this again)!! Anyways, I definitely DO NOT recommend miscarriages! :)

Steph! I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My sister in law Katie, She just experienced the SAME EXACT thing you did! She miscarried at around 9 weeks but didn't find out until 12 and she woke up the night before her schedule procedure at the hospital, with horrible contractions, she said she thought we was going to die and was screaming and my brother rushed her to the E.R. and they put her to sleep and did the procedure where they take out the baby. i forgot what it's called. anyway, i can't believe you experienced the same thing she did! I'm so sorry. I hope your feeling okay. Miscarriages are more common than women think. It was my sister's 3rd. and she doesn't have kids. anyway, i love you! talk to you soon

Stephani, that sounds terrible. Like Emily said miscarriages are more common than women think. My sister experienced three miscarriages before having her first little baby. My other sister had one miscarriage before having her first baby and now she is going to be having her third baby. My mom also experienced a miscarriage with her first pregnancy. I was totally expecting to miscarry but surprisingly the Lord had other plans. Miscarrying your first pregnancy is common, it's the way the body takes a practice swing before stepping up to bat. But that doesn't make it any less personal or painful. I truly feel sorry for your loss. You're in my prayers.

Hey Stephanie -
Sorry to hear about the miscarriage. My first pregnancy was one as well. I didn't find out until I got to the dr at 13 weeks and he said there was no heartbeat. I actually got a D&C(Dialation and Cutterage) cause there was no cramping or bleeding. Anyhow, four kids later i haven't had a miscarriage since (that i know of). It is definitely painful - especially not knowing what the future holds for you. It's great that you can talk about it though - I admire that!

:( I don't recommend them either. I've had three. The emotional pain on top of the physical is torturous. I hope you don't have to experience it again.

Stephanie, you are a brave little mama! We love you and I hope you never have to go through that again. Although having a baby is totally worth it and you can have an epidural then. :) Keep up the good work you brave girl. Sending a hug your way. Kendra
